Emeline’s recent series of paintings reflect emotions rooted in nostalgia and daydreams. Inspired by the essence of seeking solace from the southern sun beneath nature’s shade, the paintings capture the nostalgic feeling of stillness and quiet. Whether it's watching the shadows of leaves dance or the sun peek through the foliage, these moments are imbued with a sense of peace.
The combination of long, flowing strokes of paint paired with energetic mark making conveys the blend of faded reminiscences and vibrant feelings that help to define those moments in time. This creates a hazy atmosphere, with bits and pieces containing more detail, symbolic of memory.
A recent shift in her artistic focus has led to a deeper exploration of nature. While the previous LITTLE GUYS celebrated finding joy in everyday occurrences, the current direction delves into internalized memories. Hues of greens and blues intermingle with gentle touches of warm pinks in Emeline's palette for this series titled REVERIE. Emeline’s art extends an invitation to observers to share in the reliving of suspended emotions—a space where nostalgia, daydreams, and the sensations of summer intertwine.
